The painting has undergone some surface restoration, including areas of overpainting to the background. There is some craquelure to the surface. There is a small loss to the paint to the lady's bonnet. There are areas of the frame where cracking has made ornate embellishments unstable. Other areas of wear and small losses to the frame.
