Christian Julia (1921-1991) was a French painter known for his vibrant use of colour and bold geometric compositions. Influenced by Fernand Léger, his work often depicted still life, figures, and interiors rendered with strong lines and simplified forms. Julia primarily worked in gouache and oil, creating expressive scenes that balanced abstraction and figuration. Although little is known about his personal life or formal training, his work embodies a distinctly mid-20th-century modernist spirit.
