An atmospheric Dutch landscape depicting a sailing boat moored on a calm river, before a rural drawbridge crossing. Well presented in a gilt effect frame with a dramatic scrolling acanthus moulding to the profile. Signed lower right. Dated 1906. On panel.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration to the varnish layer. There is some craquelure to the upper third of the composition, in the area of sky. Minor abrasion noted to the edges of the panel. The gilt effect frame is in good condition with some minor wear. Small marks and scuffs noted to the cove. Slight separation to the lower left mitre joint.
