Collection Information
Chris Plowman was born in Fareham, Hampshire, in 1952. He studied Fine Art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic before going on to postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art (RCA), where he achieved a Masters in Printmaking. Plowman's silkscreens were widely exhibited. His artwork is exhibited in the Tate Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Council and New York Public Library collections. He taught at the Royal College of Art between 1987 and 1999 and in 1987 he won the Henry Moore Foundation prize for sculpture.
