A humorous original 1807 etching with stipple details and hand colouring, by the artist Charles Williams, and published by Thomas Tegg, 111 Cheapside, London. The beginning of the title below the image has been lost, however the full title is 'A Riddle Expounded or the Dignity of a Parsons Horse'. Unsigned dated and inscribed.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and loss to the edges, mainly to the lower left corner and upper right edge. Even surface discolouration, and some light foxing. Mount burn to edges.
