A fine rural watercolour by the 19th century artist Charles Lutchell. This charming scene depicts a young women herding cattle down to a shallow ford. The painting has been carefully heighten with body color by the artist. Signed to the lower right. Finely mounted in a gilt and swept frame with delicate floral mouldings. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The gilt frame is slightly worn with small moulding losses on all members.
