Charles Heyman (1881-1915) was a French artist who died on the battlefield in the First World War. He was a watercolourist, engraver, etcher, and draughtsman of urban and rural scenes. Heyman was the grandson of Jean-Francois Millet (1814-1875). He primarily engraved landscapes of Paris, including the series 'Sites of Paris' as well as landscapes of Normandy and railways. He was an associate member of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and he exhibited at the Salon at the beginning of the century.
