Charles Bougard (1865-1926) employs an earthy palette in this impressively-sized Impressionist canvas. His style is expressive and painterly, building up layers of subtle impasto that provide the piece with texture and vitality. Signed and dated to the lower right. Condition
Overall the condition is very good. Some discolouration to the paint and slight warping to the canvas to the lower left. The frame is in good condition, some scuffs and cracking to the ornamentation.
