This early Impressionistic landscape depicts a serene riverside scene, with a prominent tree anchoring the foreground along a rocky bank, whilst distant water and overcast skies create atmospheric depth. The work is well presented in an ornate Baroque-style frame with elaborate acanthus mouldings. Inscribed with the location and date (May 75) lower left, and inscribed 'Daubigny' verso. On panel.
Condition
The frame has minor surface wear and scuffs. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
