Chickens graze in a farmyard before a humble thatched cottage in this charming rural scene by Anthony Bram Van Bloppoel (1879-1971). Van Bloppoel renders the scene in an impressionistic manner, with a muted palette of brown, ochre, and subtle blue tones. Signed to the lower left. Well presented in a dark frame with a gold inner edge. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition
