Artist Biography
Borge Nyrop was a Danish painter born in 1881 son of manufacturer, Johan Ernst Nyrop. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and after travelled to Paris to study under artist L. Simons. His works centered around impressionist studies of the Danish countryside and he exhibited at the Danish Royal Academy thirty-six times between 1907 and 1945. In 1907 he was the awarded the Soedring exposition medal and the Neuhausen medal in 1911.
