Description

A charming, slightly naive street market scene in oil by the artist Caston. The work has the characteristic geometry of paintings from the mid-20th Century, with impressionistic details and defined areas of colour. An aesthetically well-toned scene. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

In good condition. There is some vertical cracking to the canvas in several areas, however this is stable. There are two areas of surface restoration to the right side, which have been fully restored. Scuffing around the edges.
