Description

A characterful self portrait by the artist using graphite. The artist has signed, inscribed and dated to the lower right. There is another equally charming self portrait at the reverse with the artist playfully holding up their graphite stick to the viewer. This portrait is in sanguine and graphite. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The portrait on the reverse has heavy smudging and white paper remnants stuck to the surface.
