This delightful scene depicts a life drawing class with female models draping over a chaise lounge. Filled with charming, quirky details the artist draws on satire to create the colourful characters within the scene. Signed and titled to the lower border. Displayed in Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours' exhibition in 1985. Displayed in glazed gilt frame and white card mount. On paper.

Artist Biography

C.J. Archer RI (1928-2016), known as 'Archie', was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolours in 1987. His unique humour and style were very popular and he became a prolific artist after retiring early from the advertising industry.
