Description

A delightful customer design titled 'For Mary Ellis'. The costume is for act III of the play Mrs Dane's Defence, which was first performed in October 1900. The designer has captured the costume in watercolour, adding a sketch of the back of the dress in graphite. Instructions on the dress are inscribed to the left of the design. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Deckled edges to the paper. There are pin holes to the corners of the paper.
