A loose and impressionistic oil view of the sunny shoreline of Venice. Gondolas are moored in the water and the sun shines on the buildings of the distant city. The artist has signed illegibly (possibly H. Cacciaponti). The painting has been presented in a 20th Century gilt frame with swept and pierced rail and corners with acanthus leaf details and corner diapers. There is a manufacturers stamp to the board at the reverse, dating this painting circa 1930. On board.
