She sports dark, neatly styled hair and is in traditional Victorian dress that dates this portrait around 1850. She is sitting on a red chair in a darkened interior, looking at the viewer with a warm half smile and an attractive sparkle in her deep brown eyes. her hands lie neatly clasped in her lap. The painting is unsigned and has been presented in a fine 20th Century gilt cassetta frame.
