Bruce Purchase (1938 - 2008). Bruce Purchase was a towering Shakespearean actor who played the leads in Macbeth and Othello and worked with greats such as Olivier, McKellen and O'Toole. He was also a skilled artist whose paintings had appeared in several exhibitions, and his autobiography Changing Skies (published by Steele Roberts) was published in 2007. From a collection of oil paintings, pastels and prints by the artist.
