Busselle was born in Kent in 1940. After his formal education he studied at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Art Colleges and graduated from the latter with a degree in graphic design.
He then spent thirty years in the advertising industry with some of the top London agencies winning a few prestigious international and national creative awards along the way. During his busy career he always found time to paint and has exhibited in many one man and group shows in London, the Home Counties, and later in France where he lived for five years when he left the advertising business.
On his return to England he was drawn to Cornwall where he had spent a few happy holidays in his youth. He now lives and works in Falmouth and has become known for his graphic and sometimes almost abstract interpretation of landscape. He calls the latter "abscapes" working mainly in oil but sometimes in acrylic.
Now he is a director of The St Ives Society and also a member of the Plymouth Society of Artists.
