A fine Edwardian still life in oil, showing three elegant vases, one tall and cream with a long neck, one with a blue neck and gilt rim and the third in a Grecian style with tapered foot and handled neck. A delicate wicker basket of flowers sits next to them on the table top that has been covered in a finely patterned cloth. The painting is unsigned and presented in its original gilt slip. On canvas.
Condition
There is some darkening and discoloration to the varnish, typical for the age. There is some craquelure to the surface. Inspection under UV light reveals some areas of restoration. There is a canvas repair to the reverse. The frame has some tarnishing.
