There are some light surface scratches centrally, as shown in photos. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.

From an album of watercolours, a few of which are either signed Bertha Gibbons or monogrammed BG. Most are dated 1873-1876. We have no information on the artist. One is inscribed B Robinson which may be her maiden name.
