A skilfully executed portrait of an elderly man wearing a fur hat by Bernd Funke (1902–1988). Funke employs a warm palette and dramatic chiaroscuro lighting that illuminates the subject's weathered features against a muted background. Condition
Some slight discolouration and some light marks and abrasions to the surface. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. Minor wear to the frame. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
