A fine large oil on canvas by the artist Bernard G. Preston, depicting the train engine 'King Edward II' pulling the Cornish Riviera Express. A detailed study with a vibrant palette, with an extensive inscription on the reverse describing a short history of train engines. Also inscribed by the artist with name and address, as shown. Well-presented in a painted wooden frame with gold detail. Signed and incsribed on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
In fine condition overall. The frame has some marks and scuffing.
