Bernard Eyre Walker (1887-1972) was a painter and etcher, born in Harlow, Essex, the son of artist William Eyre Walker (1847-1930). Bernard Eyre Walker was an accomplished watercolourist, etcher, and aquatinter. He was elected an RE in 1912, engraving and etching forming the bulk of his early work. He travelled widely in Majorca, Southern France, Sweden and America and lived variously on the Isle of Skye and in the Lake District. He also showed at the RA, Connell and Sons, MAFA, Cooling Gallery, Lincoln Artists' Society, RSA, and with the Lake Artists Society of which he was ultimately made an Honorary Life Member. His work is in the collection of Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Bootle Art Gallery, Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead, and Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal.
