Collection Information

Sulis Fine Art is proud to present this large and varied collection of oil paintings by the mid Century artist, Barbara Doyle. Doyle's subject matter has great range and depth, with a focus on portraits and floral still lifes.

An unusually consistent and signature style was developed early on in her career and stayed with the artist, right through to her most recent works. Doyle uses muted palettes to make flecks of vibrancy stand out all the more against the darker backgrounds. With a 'rough and ready' approach to painting, Doyle has created a body of work that has universal appeal.
