The sitter is depicted in three-quarter view, wearing a patterned red scarf on her head and elaborate gold jewellery. The work is signed to the lower left and is well presented in a gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age, including some discolouration and craquelure. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of overpainting. The frame has minor surface wear and scuffs. The artwork is in good condition for its age.
