Artist Biography
Samuel Lucas was born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire where he continued to work and live for his whole lifetime. He was born into a Quaker family and was primarily a businessman who painted in his spare time. His works are featured in important collections such as The British Museum and the Hitchin Museum and Art Gallery.
