Description

Depicting two farmers and three plough horses harvesting hay.

Tayler was a landscape, figure and sporting painter. As well as paintings, he produced etchings and lithographs. He studied under the renowned equestrian painter Horace Vernet in Paris and Rome. Appointed to the R.W.S. in 1831.

Signed with a monogram to the lower right.

On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
