The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some very light foxing.

Artist Biography
Frank Emanuel was born in London. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art under Alphonse Legros, then at the Academie Julian, Paris under Bouguereau. From the early 1880's he began to show at the RA and Paris Salon, NEAC, ROI, RI and many other galleries. Exhibited at the Royal Academy nearly every year for over 40 years. The Tate Gallery holds his work.
