Description

A delicate early 19th century watercolour painting with graphite details, attributed to the artist Elizabeth Christiana Fanshawe (1778-1856). The inscription 'Observatory at Greenwich' is inscribed to the lower left-hand corner. There is an 'Abbott & Holder' gallery label on the reverse inscribed with the artist's name. Presented in a double washline card mount and in a contemporary wood effect frame. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Minor scuffs to the frame.
