Arthur Oxenham - Original 1967 Gouache. Original illustration for a children's publication. Gouache with pen and ink. Inscribed TINA, 9th September '67. On board. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.

Arthur Oxenham was a prolific artist and illustrator who was particularly associated with the Read About It series of children's educational books published by Wheaton in the 1960s. Oxenham was primarily a wildlife illustrator, contributing many animal-related covers and dozens of colour illustrations to the 'Peeps at Nature' series which featured animals from around the world.
