A delightful watercolours painting by artist Arthur Royce Bradbury ARWA, depicting a woman with a
shrimp net and basket on a quiet beach. The painting is signed to the lower right-hand corner. Well presented in a wash-line mount and thin gilt-effect frame, as shown. Glazed. On watercolour paper.

Artist Biography

Arthur Royce Bradbury was a painter and etcher, born in Preston, Lancashire. He studied at the St. John's Wood School of Art and Royal Academy Schools and is best known for his marine sketches, especially as in his youth he was a merchant marine cadet. He exhibited many works at Walker's Gallery, London, and at the RA, RWA and RI. Examples of his work are in the collections of Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery, IWM, Poole Museum Service, National Maritime Museum, National Army Museum and Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum and He was elected an Associate of the RWA.
