Artist Biography
Arne Lindaas (1924-2011) was a Norwegian painter, printmaker, sculptor and glassmaker. He was born in Botne, and attended the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry. He worked as a glass designer, and later as a teacher. He exhibited in a solo exhibition in 1949 at Kunstnerforbundet as well as several group exhibitions, including the Milan Triennale four times between 1954 and 1973, receiving a diplôme d'honneur at his first two Milan Triennales. His work is held by the National Gallery of Norway, the National Museum of Sweden, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, among others.
