A portrait of a little girl sat on her stool with a striped wallpaper in the background. This work in particular has been exhibited at the NEAC and has their label on the reverse. Signed to the lower right. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and losses to the paint around the edges and on the left hand side. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Artist Biography
Anthony Victor Rosewarne (1917-2004) was a British painter, who was born in Margate in Kent in 1917. Rosewarne gained a degree at the Royal College of Art in London.
Rosewarne lived and worked in Harrow before moving to Devon in 1960, where he opened the Torbay Gallery for local artists and taught at Paignton College.
