A delightfully bright late 19th-century oil by the artist Anthony de Bree (1856-1921) depicting men and their horse taking a moment to water at a calm riverside. Signed and dated. Beautifully presented in a swept gilt frame with ornate acanthus detailing and a velvet slip. Listed alongside a companion piece, (SV517). On panel.Condition
Very light abrasions in areas. Inspection under UV light reveals small areas of overpainting. Overall the piece is vibrant and in very good condition for its age. Light wear to the frame including fine, stable cracking, however the overall condition is very good.
