An expressive and abstract nude study from English artist Anthony Barnard Harris, depicting two women in Harris' naive style. The artist has expressively applied thick black ink reminiscent of Robert Motherwell, over crayon and washes of bright colour. Inscribed with the title at the lower right. The image has been painted on thin paper then cut into sections and laid to slightly thicker card. A label for 'Madeleine Shaw Art Dealer' appears on the reverse. Signed and dated.Condition
Minor creasing to the edges of the paper, otherwise in fine condition.

Artist Biography
Painter, who studied at Reading University and then went onto study Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. He became Principal of St. Albans School of Art, 1967-75, and Vice-Principal of Chelsea School of Art, 1975-86. In 1982, he was elected Master of the John Ruskin Guild of St. George. 1986 saw him appointed Head of Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts and Assistant Rector of the London Institute. Harris has exhibited widely in London, the provinces and in Italy.
