Anne Williams

These picturesque still life and harbour scenes by Anne Williams are reminiscent of work by Mary Fedden and David McClure. Williams experiments in a range of styles with meticulous attention to compositional detail.
Anne Williams

This fine collection of still life, floral and harbour scenes by the British 20th Century artist Anne Williams offers a glimpse into her unique style, developed with a meticulous attention to balancing composition and form. With clear influences from the work of both Mary Fedden, David McClure and others, her still life work builds on the artistic foundation set by Matisse, and in particular the earthy tones of Georges Braque.

Williams lived and painted in the historic market town of Malton, Yorkshire, before moving into the city of York in the North of England. While some are signed, all of the works are by the artist's hand.
