A charming George II sampler, hand embroidered by Ann Baker in 1747, aged 13. The sampler depicts numerous alphabets above a moralistic verse and a pair of birds beside a tree. Well presented in a beautiful 19th-century burr maple frame. On Linen.
Condition
Even discolouration to the textile. Water damage is visible to the lower left of the sampler. Light wear is noted to the antique maple frame.
