Artist Biography
A self-taught artist, Andrew Haslen is inspired by the landscape and wildlife that surrounds his home in Suffolk. A lifelong interest in nature allows him to have the required knowledge of his subject. He has been strongly motivated by the work of 20th Century wildlife artists such as R B Talbot Kelly and Eric Ennion.
He was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists in 1988 and has exhibited at their annual exhibition every year since then, winning several awards for his work. He shows his work at many galleries and exhibitions including being selected several times for the Birds in Art exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wisconsin.
