A limited-edition giclee after a pastel still life. Presented in a wash line mount and a wooden frame with a gilt-effect inner edge. Inscribed with the number '136/350' in graphite to the lower-left edge and signed in graphite to the lower-right edge. On wove.Condition
There are some small scratches and dents to the frame but overall in very good condition.

Artist Biography
Andrea Bates (b.1943) was born Andrea Bartok in Hungary. She was educated in Paris and Montreal and then studied art in Vienna at the Academy of Fine Arts. Married to an Englishman, she settled in this country several years ago, and a great deal of the inspiration for her paintings comes from the garden of her home in Oxfordshire. She is a member of the Oxford Art Society and the Fosseway Artists and, in addition to a number of solo shows, she has exhibited at the Upton Lodge Gallery, Tetbury, PS, RBA, and the ROI.
