Overall, the condition is good despite some signs of wear consistent with age, including discolouration and craquelure. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Light wear to the frame, including a loss to the lower right corner.

Artist Biography
Alfons de Cuyper (1887-1950) was a Belgian painter from Heverlee, Leuven. He won a bronze medal in the art competitions of the Olympic Games for his 'Lanceur de Poids' and for 'Coureur' ("Shot Putter" and "Runner"), and also participated in the art competitions at the Games of 1928 and 1936.
