A pen and ink portrait of Edward William Whately (1823-1892), an Irish Anglican priest who was Archdeacon of Glendalough from 1858 to 1862 and Chancellor of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin from 1862 to 1872. Signed and dated to the lower-left edge. Inscribed with the name of the sitter on the verso. On wove.Condition
There are some slight marks and spots of foxing. Overall in very good condition.
