Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. There is a small loss to the lower left corner and staining down the centre of the artwork as shown in photos.

From a very large collection of works by Alexander Blackwood. 86 fine and highly detailed pen and ink drawings, 43 watercolour drawings and 4 oil paintings. We also have several book plates reproducing drawings by Blackwood. We know nothing of the artist. The works were found in Cornwall. Most were foxed and dirty when found and have been cleaned. Most are monogrammed AB, some are inscribed and a few are dated in the 1890's.
