This vibrant impressionist-style painting captures a lively scene of workers in a field at harvest time. Artist Biography
Alexander Andreyevich Lopadkin was a painter and member of the Union of artists of the USSR. He lived and worked in Moscow and graduated from the Moscow Art Institute, studying alongside G. Savitsky. During the Great Patriotic War he was a rifleman of the 2nd Guards Bomber Bryansk Corps. Private, awarded the Order of Patriotic War II degree, medals. In 1961 he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. As a member of the Union of Artists he participated twelve times in the all-Russian and all-Union exhibitions. Some of his solo exhibitions were held in the House of Culture AZLK. Lopadkin has prizes and diplomas MOSH RSFSR, and IHO HF RSFSR. His works can be found in museums of Russia and private collections in Russia, England, Germany and the United States.
