A lithograph of the Italian officer and aviator Umberto Maddalena, originally sketched by Aldo Carpi de Resmini (1886-1973). Maddalena was highly decorated during the First World War for services rendered as a pilot in the Navy, he was awarded three Silver Medals for military valor and two bronze medals. Printed on wove laid to backing paper. Signed and dated '1918' in the plate and also signed in pastel by the artist on backing paper. With a seal from the Ministry of the Navy, Special Office.Condition
With some minor discolouration. Overall in good condition.
