Alan Furneaux is a painter, born in London. Although he attended Reigate Art School at sixteen, music was to be Furneaux's passion until his late thirties. However, he returned to painting and held his first solo exhibition in 1990. Furneaux's commissioned work includes pictures for The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He has recently shown at the John Noott Galleries, Broadway and held another solo show in 2001 at London’s City Gallery. Other regular exhibiting venues include Blackheath Gallery, London, the David Curzon Gallery, Wimbledon and the Walker Gallery, Harrogate. Furneaux is the grandson of the artist George Hann and is also a member of ABNA.
