Alain Manesson Mallet (1630-1706) - 17th Century Engraving Vaisseau
Description
A very fine copper plate engraving of considerable age, showing an impressive war ship, simply entitled "Vaisseau" (vessel) from the publication "Description de l'Univers", (Paris, c.1690). The plate has been hand coloured and contains incredibly crisp and minute detail.
The print has been well presented in a glazed, gilt effect frame with a simple wash-line mount. There is a label at the reverse with information about the print.
On laid.Condition
The print is in remarkably good condition for its age, with only minor discolouration. The frame is in fine condition.
