A fine chromolithograph after the original Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock titled "The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers: The Faithful Ronin Withdraw to Takanawa." The scene show one of the 47 ronin returning to Takanawa following their successful night attack on Moronao's mansion. At bottom center, Oboshi Yuranosuke, the leader of the ronin, interviews a priest from the temple of Sengaku-ji in Takanawa, where their master, Lord Hangan, was buried.
