Description

A chromolithograph of John Everett Millais's (1829-1896) painting 'Bubbles' (1886), originally titled 'A Child's World'. The image was most famously used in advertisements for Pears Soap. Presented in a white mount and an Aesthetic Movement frame with vine gilt strapwork, gold inner window, and original glazing. Millais's monogram and date from the original painting at the lower-right corner. On wove.

Condition

There are some chips and scuffs to the frame and some minor dirt trapped beneath the glazing. Overall in good condition.
