A chromolithograph advertisement for Dewar's White Label Whisky depicting the iconic Landseer (1802-1873) painting 'The Monarch of the Glen' (1851). The painting's life as a marketing image began in 1916 when it was bought by Sir Thomas Dewar, an enterprising businessman who was also associated with marketing for Pears. Presented glazed in a black lacquer frame with a gilt-effect slip. Inscribed 'Dewar's' to the lower-right edge of the print and the upper edge of the frame. Inscribed with the title of the work to the lower edge of the frame.
There is some debris trapped beneath the glazing and some scuffs and scratches to the frame. Overall in good condition.
